The details on Pluralsight
Pluralsight is a workforce development platform. And it's specifically built for individuals to upskill. As well as for companies more specifically CTOs and CIOs to manage and support their technical talent. Whether that be through productivity or keeping up with the latest technologies and languages, it's all around workforce development.
What they look for in a candidate
The first thing that seems like it would be obvious but sometimes is not is the technical role specific expertise, looking in making sure that they have this specific language requirement, or strategy, experience, etc. But at Pluralsight one of the pieces of it is more important is as a developmental organization, we are built on the idea of always learning and doing more so as we're talking with candidates, as we're reviewing resumes are the people who are constantly learning, one of our core values is seek to learn so we're always looking for people who are lifelong learners who are humble enough to want to give and receive feedback and people who are wanting to make that impact with others as well.
Pluralsight's interview process
We keep our interview process as simple and streamlined for the candidate as possible. Every candidate will go through a screening conversation with recruiter where you'll discuss basic qualifications, compensation, your motivations, etc, you'll do a call with the hiring manager or a panel with the team either way. And for technical roles, you will have to do a coding challenge or assignment where we can actually see you walk the walk. And same for creative roles where we would do a portfolio review and be able to actually see your experience and exposure there. So pretty simple. Never should you have more than three or four interviews when interviewing with Pluralsight.
How to stand out
My tips for candidates always comes down to three key points. The first is to be confident and humble at the same time, it's a balance that a lot of people struggle with. But you do need to share your accomplishments. This is your chance to talk about yourself in a really positive light. And being aware of balancing the entitlement or, you know, the humility as well, you need to make sure that you can show both sides of that, I would say that's one of my biggest tips I talked with candidates about. The second is what I mentioned about Pluralsight is share your passion for learning share your passion for how do you continue to upskill? How are you constantly challenging yourself? And then the third is always be curious and ask questions. If a recruiter or an interviewer ever asks you. Do you have any questions? And you say no, that is a major red flag that you it can be perceived that you don't care enough to think about some of those questions. So always be curious, always ask questions because it should be an interview for us as much as it is for the candidate.
Why you should join Pluralsight
Pluralsight is really on the forefront of what technical talent and what the technical talent landscape will look like. So anyone who works in any sort of talent space or in the technical industry knows that it's never been more important. And it's also never been harder to find. So as we get further into this world of AI and machine learning, there's not as many people to do that are qualified to do that work. And so our platform allows individuals to gain that skills and become more marketable there, but also allows organizations to rescale the talent they already have and build on their internal mobility space. So we are we're like I said, we're at the forefront of this. We have the backing of an amazing PE firm, and there's a lot of exciting work to be done and we've really only touched the surface of where Pluralsight can go.
