About CareAcademy and what they do
So CareAcademy is a provider of a learning management system for direct care workers. So we focus on Home Health homecare workers and providing them training both for their initial training and ongoing continuing training that aids agencies with the recruiting, onboarding, and retention of direct care workers. So we sell directly into the at the agency level, and a lot of give them a resource with which to train their employees and get them you know, up and running as direct care workers, whether they're brand new to the industry or industry veterans. We provide resources for all those, all those areas.
Details on CareAcademy's sales team
The CareAcademy sales team is divided into three separate teams, we have our enterprise team who focuses on large caregiver organizations and different segments like payers or hospitals and health systems. And then we have our SMB team, which is divided into the small market and the mid market. So small market team is dealing with agencies that are 25 caregivers or less. And the mid market team is dealing with agencies that are between 26 and 3000. Caregivers. There are about 20 people on the sales team right now. And we're adding to that and want to build out all three of those teams as we're moving forward and getting ready for 2022.
How the sales process works
So the sales process at careAcademy is based on both inbound incoming leads and outbound prospecting that our sales teams do within their respective markets. On the inbound side, we get a lot of folks coming to our website requesting free trials, looking for a demo. And those get filtered through to the appropriate salespeople who then take the customer through the rest of the sales process, we have a fairly straightforward six step sales process where a lead comes in a customer is walk through a discovery call, they do a demo, they get some pricing, they sign a contract, and they close out. We're a highly transactional sales team. So we're doing a lot of deals in a fairly short timeframe. Our sales cycle tends to be depending on which team you're talking about anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks to a few months. But on most of our deals, they are extremely transactional and moves pretty quick. So we have a pretty efficient backend system that helps move the moves those deals through.
What to expect during the interview process
So we're looking for sales representatives with experience in our industry or in a related industry. And when we're able to bring you in, you're entered into our applicant tracking system, we review your resume and any other background materials that were provided. Our team gets together both our people ops lead, myself and the different sales managers get together and review resumes and qualifications. For folks that we're interested in moving forward with, we reach out and schedule a series of interviews. So we start usually with a phone screening to just kind of walk through some high level detail and make sure there's a general interest in general fit from both points of view. And then we proceed forward with a series of interviews, going one on one with the sales managers, myself, the head of ops, and then different members of the executive team as appropriate. So the process itself can go for a few weeks, we try to be pretty thorough in our assessment of candidates and also in sharing a lot about CareAcademy so folks can make the best decisions for themselves about whether it's a good company, for them in terms of culture fit and the type of job it is.

Culturally, we're, we're really supportive and friendly culture here at CareAcademy. It's, it's a very nurturing sort of culture. So it's a great place to work. And everybody has sort of all hands on deck working as a team all the time. So there is a lot of interaction between the sales team and other departments as we move these new customers into the funnel and get them closed and up and running as CareAcademy customers.

Now is a great time to join CareAcademy because we're in rapid growth mode. As we scale up, we're adding a lot of folks to the sales team, a lot of folks who are other departments and the company's really coming together and scaling up as a whole. So it's a very exciting time to be here. We also have, you know, currently 1200 customers going on 1300 customers. There are 25,000 caregiver agencies in the country.
