The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
The Telematics Delivery team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team. This position will manage and support standardized reporting and strategic analysis across our Telematics Product Portfolio. As we actively expand and bring new products to market, this role is critical to our understanding of program performance and progress toward our strategic goals for telematics.
We are looking for someone who
- Is strong analytically and technically - has strong analytical skills to gather, interpret, and evaluate data and information; proficient in analytical tools like Excel, SAS, and PowerBI (proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL is a plus)
- Loves problem solving - able to identify problems, propose solutions, and make informed decisions based on data and evidence
- Has a strategic mindset - can deploy big picture thinking to tie data insights to broader product and org goals
- Thinks critically - objectively analyzes and evaluates information to form logical and unbiased conclusions
- Communicates clearly and effectively visualizes data - effectively communicate (written & oral) findings, insights, and recommendations to various stakeholders & present data in a clear and visually appealing manner using charts, graphs, etc.
- Pays attention to detail - has a keen eye for detail to identify patterns, anomalies, outliers, and issues to ensure accuracy of metrics and insights
Responsibilities:
- Perform highly complex analyses to evaluate product performance and identify trends and issues, drawing conclusions and making actionable recommendations for areas of improvement or focus.
- Independently manage projects of moderate complexity. Develop subject matter expertise of telematics data to support teams and individuals with broader analysis.
- Query data to conduct standardized monthly reporting, quarterly strategic monitoring, and ad hoc analysis to answer advanced business questions. Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting templates to ensure consistent and accurate tracking of performance metrics for the telematics product portfolio. Assess performance to identify trends, draw conclusions, and drive decision-making.
- Collaborate across pre- and post-bind telematics design teams to align on product-level and portfolio-level metrics and targets. Coordinate quarterly refresh of data results, forecasting, and target setting across product-level and portfolio-level objectives.
- Conduct regular data validation and reconciliation to ensure the integrity of the information used for analysis and reporting. Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements to reporting methodologies and analytical frameworks.
- Regularly present analysis and insights to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
- Minimum 2 year's relevant experience, typically 3 years.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
- Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
