Reporting to the Sr Manager, Accounting, LinkSquares is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Accountant looking to join a team focused on efficiency and collaboration. This role will touch most accounting cycles as a generalist and be a key player in month end close, various P&L accounting, and the success of operational accounting.
The Staff Accountant is expected to establish operational efficiencies and assist in attaining short and long-term financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Support annual financial audit reports, including working directly with our external auditors
- Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections
- Maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures consistent with US GAAP
- Create and review accounting transactions across multiple, integrated systems
- Research and resolve issues, both technical accounting and in processes/procedures, often collaborating with FP&A and other departments
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as assigned
- Own tasks, journal entries, review and analysis, for month end close and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Coach/mentor the teams co-op interns
Requirements
- BSc/Ba in accounting, finance, or relevant field
- 1+ years of proven accounting experience
- Excellent organizing abilities with a great attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Good understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and familiarity with relevant computer software is a plus (NetSuite, Carta, and Bill.com)
