Works as a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering team member to support the transition of Robotics designs into mass production. This role will assist in the conception, analysis, prototyping, detailed design, and validation of complex electromechanical systems.
What you'll do

Perform tolerance analysis on complex mechanical assemblies and create mechanical drawings.

Help to create and manage Bills of Material (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

Be an active contributor to the NPI New Product Introduction team.

Utilize CAD to update drawings and facilitate a rapid turnaround of detailed prints.

Apply your Engineering Skills in the design of and recommend fixtures, tools, and processes.

Uses mechanical components, standards, and mechanical best practices.

Ability to assemble mechanical fixturing, utilize hand tools, machine tools.

Ability to properly use calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring equipment.

Prototyping and Machining Experience (Vertical Mill, Drill Press, Rapid Prototype, Lathe, etc.) a plus.
What you'll need

Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Working knowledge of GD&T and other drawing standards.

Experience with SolidWorks desired.

Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Our Environment

Up to 10% or 25% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid drivers license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
