The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. The US Data Science Pricing Deployments team is looking for an Assistant Director or Director, Product Analysis to lead the design and build of major pricing and underwriting programs in Earnix. This role will drive best practices within Earnix, while coordinating with modeling, data and technology teams to drive successful Earnix transformations, ultimately increasing speed to market and deploying more sophisticated models across LOBs.
**This is a ranged position. Level offered will be based on candidate skills and experience at manager discretion.**
Responsibilities:
- Lead a working team to build pricing and underwriting programs in Earnix for all lines.
- Create and maintain rigorous data models for Earnix analytical projects and API.
- Facilitate design of Rate Order Calculations in Earnix and integration with upstream services to fully enable capabilities of Earnix
- Ensure accuracy of all pricing and non-pricing outputs from Earnix
- Coordinate planning and execution with Tech and Data Solutions teams with understanding of high-level rating architecture.
- Design and implement other use cases of Earnix as a rating engine.
- As required, troubleshoot and support post launch queries and issues.
- Applies broad knowledge of sophisticated analytics techniques to manipulate large structured and unstructured data sets in order to generate insights to inform business decisions.
- Applies forward looking thinking to inform methodological advancement.
- Drives innovation in the application and development of tools and practices.
- Enables the business to make clear trade-offs between and among choices, with a reasonable view into likely outcomes.
- Regularly engages with the data science community and leads cross-functional working groups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field.
- Minimum 8 years, typically 10 years or more of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of proven experience creating rating logic and implementing rating programs in tools like Earnix, Radar Live or IBM Modeler.
- Strong understanding of rating algorithm structures, including their components, inputs, and outputs, is highly preferred.
- Facilitates development of process automation capabilities; Python language skills are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to establish and build relationships within and outside the organization.
- Ability to give effective training and presentations to management and other groups.
- Ability to use results of analysis to persuade team, department management or senior management to a particular course of action.
- Broad knowledge of business drivers and market context.
- Has a value driven perspective with regard to understanding of work context and impact.
