The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Do you want to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, creative, and high energy environment to deliver nontraditional revenue (NTR) for US Retail Market Direct Distribution? If so, join our team! The Agency Distribution Solutions Team is looking to hire a Consultant, Advanced Analytics to help optimize our growing business. As a member of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Agency (Choice) Insights & Solutions team you will drive optimizations of various high priority initiatives and programs which generate nontraditional revenue (NTR) for our Direct Distribution organization.
This position is focused on developing analytics that drive strategic initiatives for the organization; understanding current state of a growing business and making data-driven recommendations on how to improve our programs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners across departments, present findings, and utilize the power of data to help inform the future direction of multiple channels while ensuring a closed-loop feedback process. You may also partner with external vendors to improve the breadth and performance of our referral programs. This is an opportunity to also develop and demonstrate project and stakeholder management skills by taking a lead role on high-visibility initiatives delivering measurable value to the organization.
Ideal candidates will have a natural curiosity and seek to find answers to complex questions, while also having the ability to project manage and drive workstreams forward with limited guidance.
NOTE: this role may have in-office requirements based on candidate location.
Responsibilities:
- Drives Direct Digital and Direct Response Center (DRC) referral program performance and optimization, including monitoring results, conducting deep dive analysis, and providing recommendations to maximize monetization.
- Manages multiple complex projects, while providing technical and analytical assessments of challenges facing the business.
- Utilizes more advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems.
- Answers complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
- Presents findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction.
- Lead discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level.
- Continually assesses the business value and efficiency of the work performed, making suggestions for improvements and collaborating with others in implementing them.
- Fosters the development of teammates by sharing expertise and experience through training or reviewing their work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 5 years, typically 7 or more years, of related experience required; Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
- Master's Degree preferred; advanced education may be substituted for years of experience (Ph.D. with no professional experience).
- Deep knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers.
- Ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
- Ability to build analytic tools that will be used by business teams to analyze results and opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Snowflake), and visualization tools (PowerBi)
- Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to present data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business managers.
- Ability to learn how to build tools and queries for others to use preferred.
