The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will lead the development and execution of technology strategies within specific domains, ensuring alignment with our enterprise well-architected frameworks. Your role will involve close collaboration with Solutions Engineers and product teams, providing expert guidance to ensure our architectural solutions are robust, secure, and innovative. You will be recognized as a thought leader who influences strategic decisions and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence.
About the job:
- Lead the technology strategy and roadmaps within specific technology domains, aligning with enterprise architecture standards and strategic business goals.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineers and product engineering teams on engineering choices, ensuring architectural solutions meet technical and business requirements.
- Develop specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings, maintaining enterprise methodologies and techniques.
- Provide technical oversight and architecture solutions for complex system and application development projects, usually at the technology domain level.
- Design blueprints, structure, components, and interactions for re-platformed applications to ensure consistent, reusable, and interoperable deployment and maintenance across systems and technologies.
- Resolve critical issues and design challenges, ensuring solutions are maintainable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with customers, vendors, business partners, and technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation and shared learning.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying best practices to drive continuous improvement within technology domains.
- Influence decisions made by senior leadership, advancing the craft of architecture within the organization and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 12+ years of related experience, with extensive knowledge of infrastructure, cloud technologies, software engineering languages, tools, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in large scale technology modernization efforts and/or application rationalization initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of diverse technologies, architectural concepts, and principles, with strong security acumen.
- Proven experience with agile practices, and the ability to drive and adapt to change effectively.
- Strong influencing and consensus-building skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Recognized as a thought leader within discipline, with strong consulting skills and the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term decision implications.
